Bio
Sara Johnson is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Clinical Director at Mason Family Counseling. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Ohio University. Sara has extensive experience supporting clients in diverse settings, including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient and school-based counseling, and hospice grief therapy.
She works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, behavioral issues, and family stress. Drawing from evidence-based approaches like CBT, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness, Sara tailors her care to each client’s unique needs. Known for her empathy, acceptance, and non-judgmental approach, she is dedicated to meeting clients where they are and helping them build skills and solutions that support growth and healing.
