Maria McCarty, LSW

Maria is a Licensed Social Worker who obtained her Bachelor of Social Work from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.                                  

Maria has been working in the Social Work field for over 23 years, providing mental health services and support to children, adolescents, adults, seniors and their families. Maria has provided mental health services and support in various settings, as well, such as Department of Social Services, in-home (senior adults case management and hospice), adult day program, domestic violence shelter, hospital and jail. 

Maria’s approach starts with meeting people where they’re at and working with them to identify and build on their strengths. Maria uses motivational interviewing and mindfulness, along with encouragement and any other tools/information necessary to empower clients to reach their mental health goals.
